Powder coating on metal frames

Powder Coating

Powder coating is used on metals to give a decorative and hard wearing, protective finish.

The powder coating process is where dry powder paint is sprayed onto prepared metal and the item goes through an oven so that the powder melts to produce a uniform smooth coating over the surface.

Powder coating is normally applied to metals to provide both a decorative and a protective surface finish. Suitable substrates include mild and galvanised steels and aluminium.

Applications

Powder spray finishes are typically applied to products for use in shop and office fitting, industrial applications and in the electronics industry. Examples include:

  • Gates and fencing
  • Shelving and racking
  • Doors
  • Cabinets
  • Metal casings & components
  • Decorative ironwork

Colours may be selected from standard RAL and BS colour charts.

Colours are available in Epoxy, Polyester or Epoxy-Polyester Ranges.

Plain, textured, metallic, rippled and hammered surface finishes can be applied.

Special finishes such as anti-bacterial, are also available.
